Chanting and mantra have been used for thousands of years by people of all faiths (and none) as a tool for health, healing, and spiritual connection.
When we chant, the vibration of sound helps us slip more easily into stillness and silence — that’s where healing happens, and where we reconnect with our inner wisdom.
Whether you’re curious, seeking relaxation, or exploring a spiritual path, chanting can meet you exactly where you are.
Why Chant?
If you can speak, you can chant. And even if you choose to chant silently, the effects can be just as powerful and meditative.
I teach Sanskrit chants — sounds that have been passed down for thousands of years — repeated with rhythm, tone and melody to create resonance that can shift us both physically and psychologically.
I draw on 25 years of experience with both Vedic chant (structured and precise) and non-Vedic chant (more free and fluid). Together, we balance sound with silence.
What You Might Experience
Many people notice their minds feel quieter after chanting than after other forms of meditation. The silence that follows is rich — a chance to witness your thoughts without judgement, and to rest in a sense of alert stillness.
Even complete beginners often feel instantly at home with the practice. As one participant said:
“I didn’t know quite why I went – but it has literally changed my life! It is my anchor, and a beautiful healing tool.”
The Benefits of Healing Chant

Chanting touches every layer of our being. Here are just some of the benefits people often experience:
- Stress relief & calm – helps regulate the nervous system, lowering anxiety and tension
- Emotional balance – soothes emotions and fosters tranquillity
- Deeper meditation – anchors the mind and supports presence
- Energy healing – restores harmony and balance in body and mind
- Pain relief – stimulates endorphins and shifts focus away from discomfort
- Spiritual growth – deepens awareness, connection and purpose
- Better breathing & sleep – supports lung health, relaxation, and rest
- Community & connection – group chanting amplifies shared healing and belonging
- Clarity & focus – clears mental fog and strengthens concentration
How Does Sound Heal?
Sound is energy. Just as ultrasound can break down kidney stones, certain vibrations can shift and restore balance within us.
Even simple humming can stimulate the vagus nerve — calming the nervous system, improving digestion, boosting immunity, and supporting healthy social connection. This primal need for connection has become even more vital in recent years.
A Path to Wholeness
Healing Chant is simple, profound and available to everyone – whether you’re completely new, curious, or already on a spiritual path.
Come with an open heart and discover the power of sound and silence.
“Before its incarnation the soul is sound.
It is for this reason that we love sound.”
